Puppyhood is an important time for your puppy because between 3-8 weeks of age, dogs learn how to interact with other dogs and from week 5 and weeks 7 to 12, puppies learn how to interact with people and from week 10 to 20 weeks, they benefit from exposure to novel environments (Scott & Fuller, 1965). If they are deprived of these periods, they may be more at risk of developing inappropriate behaviours.

Beginning training straight away will therefore give your puppy the best start and help prevent problems arising later on.
